Lemelson Vineyards Thea's Selection Willamette Valley Pinot Noir 2013

$32

Limited new release from one of Washington State's finest Pinot Noir producers. Order now while its available! Get it before the ratings come out. Thea's Selection is the measuring stick of our success as growers and winemakers. A blend of blocks from each of our vineyards, Thea's expresses the vintage, our intentions and our efforts perhaps more than any other. The earthy nose shows fruit cake, black cherry and buttered rye bread, while expressing fennel and spice in a lovely, delicate way. The wine's medioum body centers around cranberry, black cherry and resonant spice that leads to a long, savory finish. We are pleased with the textural silk and finesse of this wine. Vneyard Sources for the Lemelson Thea's Selection Pinot Noir: Briscoe, Johnson, Rocky Noel and Stermer Vineyards with Willakenzie sedimentary soil in the Yamhill Carlton AVA; Wascher Vineyard with Willakenzie soil and Meyer Vineyard with Jory and Nekia volcanic soils in the Dundee Hills AVA; Chestnut Hill Vineyard with Jory soil in the Chehalem Mountain AVA.

Super. Delicate, bright, red fruit and berry. Incense-y mysteriousness. Love it.

2018 resolution is going to be download a cellar app. No recollection of having this before. But apparently I did. Strawberry, spicebox, with hints of tea on the finish. Simple, straight-forward, easy-drinking Pinot. The 2014 was WS Top 100. Happy 4th!

Fabulous Willamette Valley Pinot to pair with a scrumptious dinner at Picasso in Vegas. Very mellow finish but black fruit all the way from start to finish.

Great vino. We had this probably a year ago and I remember thinking it was heavy for a Pinot. Not this time. Delicious.
