Limited new release from one of Washington State's finest Pinot Noir producers. Order now while its available! Get it before the ratings come out. Thea's Selection is the measuring stick of our success as growers and winemakers. A blend of blocks from each of our vineyards, Thea's expresses the vintage, our intentions and our efforts perhaps more than any other. The earthy nose of the 2011 shows fruit cake, black cherry and buttered rye bread, while expressing fennel and spice in a lovely, delicate way. The wine's medioum body centers around cranberry, black cherry and resonant spice that leads to a long, savory finish. We are pleased with the textural silk and finesse of this wine. Vneyard Sources for the Lemelson 2011 Thea's Selection Pinot Noir: Briscoe, Johnson, Rocky Noel and Stermer Vineyards with Willakenzie sedimentary soil in the Yamhill Carlton AVA; Wascher Vineyard with Willakenzie soil and Meyer Vineyard with Jory and Nekia volcanic soils in the Dundee Hills AVA; Chestnut Hill Vineyard with Jory soil in the Chehalem Mountain AVA.

The 2011 vintage has a bite that is not pleasant. Too many green notes. Not a great wine from a fair vintage. There have been better from Lemelson. 12/31/15
