97+ Points A fantastic new release from a new boutique producer in Paso Robles - Ledge. The MCA Cuvee is an abolsutely delicious blend of red varietals. Limited. 94 Points Jeb Dunnuck: "The MCA Cuvée from Ledge is one of the great values out there and it always delivers the goods. The 2018 sports a dense ruby hue as well as a beautiful, elegant, medium to full-bodied style. With lots of juicy red and black berry-like fruit, notes of peppery herbs and flowers, no hard edges, and the purity and freshness that's common in the vintage, it's ideal for drinking any time over the coming 7-8 years... ...I continue to love the wines from the up and coming Mark Adams, who pulls from his estate Adams Ranch Vineyard as well as a handful of other top vineyards on the westside of Paso Robles. These are distinctive, singular wines worth seeking out." The MCA Cuvee blend is 56% Grenache, 24% Syrah, 11% Petite Sirah, 9% Zinfandel. Located in West Templeton in the southwest part of the Willow Creek District, the Adams Ranch and Vineyard is a unique, 40-acre estate with rolling, oak laden hills and a vast, nearly-flat range composed of sandstone, sand and clay loam. The property was purchased by Richard and Susan Adams in the mid-1970s where they built a home and raised three children, the youngest being Mark Adams who started building the vineyard in 2004. After working at another local winery, Saxum Vineyards, Mark established Ledge Vineyards as a label in 2008.
