L'Aventure Estate Cuvée Paso Robles Syrah Blend 2019

$129.99

100 Points                                                      Limited new blockbuster release from one of Paso Robles hottest wineries.  Don't miss. 100 Points Jeb Dunnuck  "Pure perfection from Paso Robles, the 2019 Estate Cuvee checks in as 50% Syrah, 45% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 15% Petit Verdot that was raised in 81% new French oak. Incredible cassis and black berry fruits as well as violets, chocolate, graphite, and who knows what else emerges from the glass, and it hits the palate with full-bodied richness, a concentrated yet weightless mouthfeel, building tannins, and a great finish. It’s more seamless and approachable than the more backward, structured 2018 and will have two decades of prime drinking... ...Stephan Asseo, who’s assisted more and more by assistant winemaker Patrick Davies, continues to keep his L’Aventure estate near the top of the pyramid in Paso Robles. This report looks at the 2019s and 2020s, and both appear to be beautiful vintages. The 2019s are some of the finest wines I’ve tasted at this estate and have a rare mix of power and vibrancy, with incredible aromatics and sensational purity and precision on the palate." Robert Parker: "...Consistently thrilling wines come from l’Aventure, which is run with incredible talent and passion by St. Emilion native Stephan Asseo. His 2016s are incredible efforts, and the 2017 more Rhône blends are certainly in the same ballpark. Due to the heat spikes at harvest, Bordeaux varieties were much more difficult and hit or miss."

Full bodied. This has an expanding mid palate with great weight but somehow seamless at the same time. It offers everything from dark fruits, bacon fat, chocolate, rose hip, rose petals, cinnamon, cracked black pepper, black tea, violets and so on. Nice long ending with a mineral sensation. You end up with a massive amount of tasting notes that shows the complexity and quality of this wine.

Aroma has chocolate nuance. Vanilla, oak. Blueberry. Syrah derived pepper etc. spiciness. Good wine should wait for years. 2019 @3420, chateau -, 230628-230724

Young but drinking well now. Ripe dark fruit, chocolate, chalky tannins. Full bodied with a mineral driven finish. Great mouthfeel. A 30 min decant to begin. Really Enjoyable.

Dark ruby. Oaky, chocolate, citrus on nose. Burnt marshmallow, raspberry notes, peppery finish. Lasting deep tannin.

Young but is drinkable at the moment. This wine will age nicely over time. Bought more of this vintage because of the potential as it matures.
