A fantastic Sauvignon Blanc from Lail and winemaker Philippe Melka. The Lail Blueprint Sauvignon Blanc exhibits the fabulous acidity, minerality, and amazing purity of its Sancerre sisters. Produced with a focus on preservation of aromatics and acidity, it has an elegant and intense perfume of geranium, melon and lime, and crisp fruit flavors with profound richness and length 93 Points Connnoiseur's Guide: "Veering away from the fresh, grassy model for Sauvignon Blanc and instead showing a mix of richness and hints of honey backed up by steely, gravelly notes, light grasses and whispers of Meyer lemons, this nose promises much and the wine delivers fully on the palate. It is supple and somewhat polished to start yet firms up across the palate in a way that invites a few years of cellaring for those who will resist its current charms. It has the range and stuffing to work with rich lobster dishes."

On the palate vibrant flavors of apple, pear and lemon with a zesty punch and a nice touch of vanilla. Savory, long finish ending with mineral and biscuit notes. Very nice. Tasting Sample!

Definitely improves with air time. Recommend decant of at least 45 min. Really softens up and fruit shines. Black and dark red fruit. Licorice, earthy. Medium finish.

Grapefruit pith, river stones, fresh toast, hints of white peach, ginger, and fresh cut grass in the bouquet. Juicy grapefruit, canned yellow peaches, hints of candied ginger and white pepper lingering on a nice tart golden cranberry finish. Acidic but well balanced.
