Extremely limited Kosta Browne Russian RIver Valley Pinot Noir. 94 Points Robert Parker: "The Kosta Browne Pinot Noir Russian River Valley was matured for 15 months in 34% new oak. It has a medium ruby color and generous aromatic layers of lavender, licorice, eucalyptus and forest floor with a core of dark fruit. The medium-bodied palate is powerful, its concentrated fruit complemented by well-integrated oak spice. It has abundant, grainy tannins, bursts of mouthwatering acidity and a very long, layered finish. Offer it another 2-3 years in bottle to unwind."94 Points Jeb Dunnuck: "Taking on more richness both visually and aromatically, the Kosta Browne Pinot Noir Russian River Valley is generous with violets, black cherry, and cola spices. Medium to full-bodied, it has ripe, sweet tannins, with notes of black tea, expansive black raspberry fruit, and toasted cedar. It offers good richness and has a classic feel with a long finish. Drink 2024-2034." Antonio Galloni writes: "I continue to be deeply impressed by what I am seeing at Kosta Browne. Under the leadership of Managing Director Scott Becker and Winemaker Nico Cueva, Kosta Browne has confidently entered the second generation of its life. Becker is the rare entrepreneur who has strategic vision but who understands the practical elements of running a business and also has a huge passion for wine, while Cueva has the imagination and leeway to keep the wines contemporary and relevant. Open top wood fermenters and concrete are increasingly present, as is the practice of using some whole clusters. Perhaps most importantly, Kosta Browne is one of the few California wineries that has the resources and long-term plan to secure fruit sources by continuing to acquire vineyards."
