Ketcham Estate Russian River Valley Pinot Noir 2009

$38

Ketcham Estate is a tiny producer using the services of famed winemaker Michael Browne who makes the Kosta Browne wines, some of the highest rated Pinots from California! Get this beauty while its still available as it will be gone in a flash. Only 840 cases produced Ketcham Estates is a partnership between Mark Ketcham and Steve Rigisich who bought a 16- acre vineyard in the heart of the Russian River Valley. The 2009 Pinot Noir is ruby red with a crisp edge. The nose offers up layers of spices, bright red cherries, raspberries, some strawberry, spice and stone fruit leading the way, with a bit of mineral and mushroom integrated throughout. Red fruit, mineral, spice and clean earth balance the wine with purity and a long, lingering finish. When to Drink? You can enjoy this now (with a good decanting), but the wine will continue to improve for the next 1-2 years. We hope you have more patience than we do!
