Since 1976, Kenwood Vineyards has produced wines from Jack London's historic vineyard in Glen Ellen, Sonoma. This unique red lava soil vineyard, located on the eastern slope of Sonoma Mountain, was first planted in the late 1800s. It has always produced red wines distinct in depth and varietal character. The Kenwood 2006 Jack London Cabernet Sauvignon fruit was harvested in late September and the resulting wine is wonderfully complex with powerful berry, spice and earth flavors. Delicious now, this Cabernet will continue to develop and improve for at least a decade. 96% Cabernet Sauvignon 4% Merlot 100% Harvested from the historic Jack London Vineyard located on the west side of Sonoma Valley on Sonoma Mountain.

Pastiche has half price wines on Wednesday’s so I went for one of their higher priced ($64) bottles. Haven’t had a Jack London Vineyard in a long time so I thought this was the time to try it. Not very complex and a tad sweet. I’m amazed that they can sell this at the $64 price on other nights. Don’t know the retail for this wine. Don’t think I would order again.
