Fantastic small-production boutique Napa Cabernet discovery - highly recommended. The Kelleher Family vineyard is situated along Highway 29 in the famous Oakville appellation in the heart of the Napa Valley. They have 9.4 acres planted exclusively with Cabernet Sauvignon. They named this beautiful piece of land after their namesake restaurant, "Brix". Kelleher's 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon has a deep red-black color, with bright fruit forward aromas, a hint of spice and a touch of chocolate. On the palate, the wine is full bodied, concentrated, with a smooth richness that lingers. The bright fruit aromatics are persistent on the pallet, with balanced acidity and a hint of sweetness from the new French Oak. The well-structured yet smooth tannins are present throughout the lingering finish. Only 267 cases produced!

Aged for 24 months in French oak (50% new), dark crimson with soft aromas of red fruits and sweet spice. On the palate sweet cherry and blackberry flavors with cacao and tobacco notes. Smooth tannins, well balanced, tasting great ending with rich fruits and earthy notes.
