Kale Wines Alder Springs Vineyard Syrah 2009

Kale Anderson is the winemaker at Pahlmeyer and his 2009 Syrah under his own label is stunning.  One of the best Syrahs we've tasted this year.  A newcomer to discover now.94 Points Brix26:  "Brilliant ruby in color, aromas of raspberry bramble, violet, and sage develop into pine duff and toasted vanilla bean. Concentrated pomegranate and plum are balanced with fresh minerality. Silky, delicate tannins extend through the finish and evolve into sweet pipe tobacco. Enjoy and revisit to experience the wine's evolution. Bottled unfined and unfiltered. This wine is great now but also has the structure to age another 10 years easily if you can resist it.  A tiny 111 cases were produced so hurry."
