Justin Vineyards & Winery Isosceles Paso Robles Cabernet Sauvignon Blend 2018

$79.99

The Isosceles Cabernet blend is one of Paso Robles most sought-after wines!  Get the limited new release now. The Justin 2018 Isosceles is bright with a deep ruby core, lighter with a bit of garnet toward the rim. Rich and aromatic with dark fruit of black cherry, cassis, exotic licorice, cinnamon, and subtle vanilla spice with sweet notes of tobacco, a little cocoa and subtle toasted cedar in the background. Full bodied with black cherry and classic black currant fruit, complex brown spice of star anise, licorice with cocoa and herbal notes of sweet tobacco and a hint of eucalyptus. The rest is classic Bordeaux cabernet sauvignon - fruit, complex spice, and mineral flavors balanced with guiding structural elements on a long, memorable finish. Drink on release or wait a dozen years, this one will be ready for you. Blend: 85% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% Cabernet Franc, 7% Merlot ISOSCELES is the embodiment of our dream to produce a Paso Robles wine in the style of the classic chateaux of the Médoc area of Bordeaux. Each vintage of ISOSCELES drinks beautifully upon release, revealing its Paso roots, and after years in the cellar it shows the quality, complexity, and age-worthiness of the wines after which it is styled. Elegantly understated, but with impressive complexity on further examination, the new packaging for this twenty fifth vintage of ISOSCELES reflects the character of this iconic wine and continues its proud heritage.

The 2018 Isosceles is youthfully understated yet darkly alluring, with black cherry and spiced citrus nuances lifting from the glass. This washes across the palate with ease, cool-toned and with a pure mix of red and black fruits. It finishes with admirable length while maintaining an energetic feel. Blackberry hints slowly fade. (Eric Guido, Vinous, May 2023)

Very California red - fruity, allspice, vanilla, tobacco. Some ripe peach? Great slightly chilled. Love it.

Justin ‘Isosceles’ 2018: Full-bodied. Dry & balanced acidity. Smooth integrated tannins. Plump lush dark fruits. Blackberry. Black cherry. Vanilla. Tobacco. Cedar. Spice. Oak. Silky fine finish. Consisting of 83% Cabernet Sauvignon, 9% Merlot & 8% Cabernet Franc, this wine was very expressive, juicy & complex. A bit young by vintage however still very sophisticated, approachable & drinkable right now. All in all, an excellent Paso Robles wine & the best Justin wine offering. Great day to all! Cheers

It’s good, but not amazing! A little dry. Almost has an after taste of sweet butter. I’d drink again.

Jammy fruit forward wine with balanced acidity. Tannins are lighter than expected for the young age. Drink now or in 5 years.

Amazing wine. Dry, low tannins, smooth and delicious. There's nothing we didn't like about this beauty. Paid $96 for the 2018.
