New release of one of the famous Jordan Alexander Valley Cabernets! Tasting Notes: " The Jordan 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Alexander Valley has concentrated aromas of blackberries and black cherries with an inviting hint of cedar. The wine’s silky palate is long and expansive, boasting a beautiful balance of black fruit and fine tannin structure. Its finish is lively, lingering and laced with a sweetness of fruit. A deliciously seductive wine to be enjoyed now or cellared through 2028. Decant for 60 to 90 minutes to elevate aromas and flavors."

A gift from a friend, this wine was surprisingly nice. On night 1 it was simple and quaffable. But in night 2 it got more detailed, with olive and cassis, along with cigar box on the nose. In the mouth it’s showing slightly herby, olivey red fruit. Nice balance, with medium body. A good solid weekday dinner wine.

Gorgeous. But erring on subtlety at first. I corked it and 2nd and 3rd night picked up olive and cocoa while remaining balanced. Nice!

Founded 1972, Tom & Sally Jordan, from CO, went to CA’s wine country & produced inaugural vintage in 1976. A Fav of mine with a steak, and the ‘14 is big! Had the ‘14 over a year ago, it’s Wow Now! Blend of 79% Cab Sauv, 13.7% Merlot, 5.8% Petit Verdot, 1.2% Malbec & 0.3% Cab Franc. Deep Ruby red with aromas of red fruit & perfume spice. On the palate flavors of ripe cherry & blackberry with oak, sweet spice, leather & cacao notes. Rich tannins, well balanced and integrated with fruit & oak. Very Nice!

Delicious blueberry pie, savory, leather, olive, black fruits, plenty dry. Could’ve popped the cork 5 years ago but 10 years has done this very well. Perfect wine with a steak and great representation of an American Cab not from Napa.

Silky smooth from first sip to last drop. Everything a Cabernet Sauvignon should be with notes of dark berries that never over power. Enjoyed over cheese board and grilled artichoke with samba playing.
