New release of one of the famous Jordan Alexander Valley Cabernets! Tasting Notes: " The Jojrdan 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Alexander Valley has concentrated aromas of blackberries and black cherries with an inviting hint of cedar. The wine’s silky palate is long and expansive, boasting a beautiful balance of black fruit and fine tannin structure. Its finish is lively, lingering and laced with a sweetness of fruit. A deliciously seductive wine to be enjoyed now or cellared through 2028. Decant for 60 to 90 minutes to elevate aromas and flavors."

Ok and lips turned slightly upward at the end - bought at a great price - know why now

Smooth tannins, nice acid, blackberry and blackcurrants, oak is well tamed and just a pleasure to drink even this young...Classic Jordan..can never go wrong..

It's been awhile since I had a young vintage Jordan but it was the best they had to offer at the United Lounge. It's a 12 so it drinks softer young. However, it's still not eventful. At least, not yet. The fruits are ruby & ripe but don't really sing like they should as most of the 12's I've had. Blackberries, black plum, plum, black raspberries, strawberry preserves, unstated baking spices; vanilla, mocha, caramel, soft barrel toast, moist black earth, dry stems, some light and light roasted coffee grounds, decent; acidity, length, balance structure and finish. Don't see this one as a long cellar...10 or 12 years at the most. Looking forward to better things Down Under.

Dry and muted. Just how I like my Cabs. Nice aromas and tasty once it opens up more. Would get again.

Nice enough but beyond having visited this vineyard it doesn’t warrant much attention

Stewed fruit in the nose. Dark plum, cranberry, leather, cedar, green pepper, and white pepper, fresh American oak. The fruit gets brighter through the finish. Moderate plus tannin and acid.
