Hyde De Villaine Hyde Vineyard Chardonnay 2022

                                                  Hyde de Villaine in Calfornia's Carneros District and is a collaboration between the Hyde family (Hyde Vineyard) and the De Villaine family (DRC). They make one of the best Chardonnays in California but its limited. 95 Points Robert Parker: "The HdV Chardonnay is powerful and hedonistic, with a touch less aromatic purity than its excellent 2019 counterpart. It opens with flinty aromas that segue to white peaches, baked apples, beeswax, roasted almonds and baking spices. The medium-bodied palate is textural and concentrated with flinty accents and rounded acidity, finishing with lots of savory layers and a compelling hint of dried sage. This deserves another 3-5 years in bottle." HdV is a joint family venture between Hyde Vineyards and their French cousins, Aubert and Pamela de Villaine. Hyde Vineyards has become renowned for their ability to capture the Carneros terroir, while the Villaines stand among the most recognized names in Burgundy. This Old-World meets New World charmer is a cool Carneros beauty of impressive energy and opulence with lively acidity balancing the creamy texture.
