This new second label from Hollwood & Vine Winery is one of the best new Cabs under $40 we've discovered this year. Outstanding! 94 Points Brix26: "This ultra-ripe Cabernet shows the complexity of its multi-faceted origins: bright black cherry and blackberry notes from Oakville and Rutherford dominate the aromas, as Spring Mountain’s trademark ripe plum and cedar/forest floor notes add complexity. Structurally, the wine shows the density of hillside fruit from Mt.Veeder, as well as the supple tannins of the benchland vineyards. The wine has a perfect balance of fruit and tannins, with an intensity and spiciness of the Dalla Valle Maya but its own unique signature." When making a movie, and there is not enough film left in the camera for another take, we replace the magazine and call the left over film stock "Short Ends." Similarly, after crafting our Hollywood and Vine "2480" wines, we often have a little wine left from each of our world-class vineyard sources, and we blend those "Short Ends" into this remarkable and uniquely delicious Napa Valley Cabernet.

Bright cherry, licorice, cedar with a slight smokey hot finish. A real delight to drink.

Needed some air but very smooth with nice finish. Great price point as well.

Berry and cinnamon nose. Not enough tannin to balance the acidity of this mediocre wine. No finish to speak of. This wine would be at home in a gas station, not a nice wine bar and restaurant.
