Ghost Block Morgaenlee Vineyard Sauvignon Blanc 2022

$26

Rare white from Ghost Block! The Ghost Block 2022 Morgan Lee Vineyard Sauvignon Blanc is a beautiful, elegant wine that exhibits a great balance of aromas and structure. A classic Sauvignon Blanc with perfect varietal balance. A grassy scent with accented stone fruits, and tropical tones. It leads into flavors of peach, melon, orange peel and pear. A full mid-palette weight of tropical and stone fruits gives way to a lasting finish of citrus and minerality. Its long finish is supported by subtle oak nuances.

Pale lemon in color. Elegant nose of citrus, green apples, spices and minerals. Light to medium in body with medium acidity. Dry on the palate with limes, light grapefruits, citrus, lemons, green apples, spices, light herbs and white pepper. Tangy finish with limes. This is a delicious Sauvignon Blanc from Yountville in Napa Valley. Showing nice balance and mouthfeel. Elegant and rich. Easy drinking right out of the bottle, and neither bitter nor tart, which I loved. Drinking at its peak now. Complex and fruit forward. Spicy and tangy. A good quality wine that will continue to drink nicely in the next few years. I had the 2018 last year, and it is very consistent. This Single Vineyard Sauvignon Blanc is good by itself as a sipping wine, and paired beautifully with fresh oysters. A blend of 97% Sauvignon Blanc and 3% Sémillon. Aged for 9 months on its lees. 13% alcohol by volume. 92 points. $30.
