A classic Napa Cabernet from Freemark Abbey. 91+ Points Robert Parker: "The backward, Bordeaux-inspired 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon Mt. Veeder reveals sweet black currant, oak, forest floor and underbrush characteristics. Full-bodied with terrific ripeness and richness as well as a long finish with moderately high tannins, it should be forgotten for 3-4 years and drunk over the following two decades...Now owned by Kendall-Jackson, but with long-time winemaker Ted Edwards still firmly in control, Freemark Abbey has produced a large assortment of wines ranging from very good to exceptional."

I am really predisposed not to like Napa Cabs, but this one was delicious. Not a huge nose on this inky wine. Delicious mix of black and red fruit with huge acid and very subtle tannins.

I drank the shit out of this wine and it was awesome. I must admit that this was a little more expensive than the usual stuff I buy, and, it was only one bottle. The boxes I get for $15 easily have a 4 bottle wine capacity. Would recommend to anyone, really good 'leg opener' as we say in the UK.

Ripe currant, dark cherry, subtle oak and dried sage aromas, really classic CS-stuff! Medium-bodied, showing positive austerity, overall balance and good structure, this infant should age gracefully.

Unabashed fan of Freemark Abbey here, with a bottle you can only get in their tasting room, the 2010 Bootleg cabernet has a nice ruby color to it with a slightly watery rim. The nose gives off some herbaceous notes along with bell pepper, tart cranberry and blackberry. The tannins mellow with just a little air, from grippy to moderately pleasant.

Very nice structure and fruit weight in the mouth. Heavy vanilla after finish but still very pleasing.

Blackberries, and some spicy oak. It almost smelled like baking spices.
