The new Flowers 2023 Pinot Noir, Sonoma Coast now available. 93 Points Decanter: "There is an oomph and intensity to the 2023 Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir from Flowers, with ripe fruits and generous forest character. Aromas of gravel dust, pine tar and smashed blue fruits come to the fore with whispers of violet florality. The palate shows a core of red and blue brambles, a nearly feral character to them. The savoury elements are followed by dried herbs, black tea, and a touch of mace. There's an intense saline throughline that crescendos at the finish." 93 Points Wine Enthusiast: " Aromas of sweet berries, cherry liqueur and cola dominate the nose of this Pinot, while the palate is loaded with cedar cigar box, coffee and maraschino cherry. The combination of freshness and grip feels very alluring, but it might need a few years to round into form." Sourced from a small selection of family-owned vineyards on the Sonoma Coast as well as our Sea View Ridge estate. Each vineyard is carefully chosen for its farming practices, coastal influence, and fruit standards. Aged in 100% French Oak (18% new) for 10 months. Fresh fruit aromas of cherry, plum, and raspberry are followed by hints of sandalwood, mineral, and leather. Unfolding with flavors of plum, raspberry and spice. Tannins are supple creating a long, soft finish. A blend of Sonoma Coast vineyards. Stunning Sonoma Pinot as usual from Flowers and female winemaker Chantal Forthun.
