Flowers Vineyard & Winery Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir 2016

$45

93 Points - limited                    The new Flowers 2016 Pinot Noir, Sonoma Coast now available. 93 Points Antonio Galloni (Vinous): "Flowers' 2015 Pinot Noir (Sonoma Coast) is a lovely appellation level wine, and also one of the highlights in this range. Sweet red cherry, plum, dried flowers and tobacco all flesh out in the glass. Nuanced, soft, and open-knit, the 2015 Sonoma Coast Pinot is a gorgeous wine to drink now and over the next handful of years. This polished, impeccable Pinot is very nicely done." 93 Points Wine Enthusiast:  "Deep garnet hue. Aromas of wild strawberry, pomegranate, cranberry, savory dried herbs, violet and forest floor lift elegantly from the glass. On the palate, layers of blood orange and hibiscus are framed by fine-grained tannins, coastal minerality and brilliant acidity that culminate in a lengthy finish."

Easygoing, classic Sonoma Pinot—translucent ruby color, silken texture, tangy red fruits, hint of roses and a touch of umami

A solid Thanksgiving pinot for the table. Lifted red fruit profile with medium acidity and showing cranberry and ripe strawberry. Nice finish with no tannic profile, these are ready to go.

Stands up to its name....bright red fruits (cherry/cranberry) but more exquisitely roses, violets, and wet earth....and just a touch of herbs (thyme/dill).

Felt like I was gently deflowered as my last sip slipped southward toward the junction where new and old worlds find a wholesome balance.

Dark fruit but still Pinot delicateness. Not a ton of complexity but very easy drinking.
