93 Points - limited The new Flowers 2015 Pinot Noir, Sonoma Coast now available. 93 Points Antonio Galloni (Vinous): "Flowers' 2015 Pinot Noir (Sonoma Coast) is a lovely appellation level wine, and also one of the highlights in this range. Sweet red cherry, plum, dried flowers and tobacco all flesh out in the glass. Nuanced, soft, and open-knit, the 2015 Sonoma Coast Pinot is a gorgeous wine to drink now and over the next handful of years. This polished, impeccable Pinot is very nicely done." 93 Points Wine Enthusiast: "Deep garnet hue. Aromas of wild strawberry, pomegranate, cranberry, savory dried herbs, violet and forest floor lift elegantly from the glass. On the palate, layers of blood orange and hibiscus are framed by fine-grained tannins, coastal minerality and brilliant acidity that culminate in a lengthy finish."

Off the list at the Club… a nice pop and pour. Good fruit. Bright and young.

For an entry level appellation west coast Pinot, this is right down the middle of the fairway. Ruby in the glass with cedar, birch wood, sweet cherry and cola on the nose. The palate is a bit darker bringing on sweet tobacco, black cherry and a rhubarb tart spice. I think this is $45’ish/bottle, so in terms of QPR, I’ll buy Rivers-Marie SC bottle all day over this, and while I’m not with AGalloni’s 93 rating, I’m not too far off.

Fragrant, fruity, earthy and approachable, with soft tannins and reasonable acidity—very drinkable! Enjoyed the 2015 with NY steak at The Palm Restaurant in downtown LA.

Bright burgundy color. Red licorice. Bright berry, with a bit of heat on the nose. Crushed dark berry fruit, licorice root, and a sarsaparilla finish. Enjoyable.
