95 points - limited A fantastic small-production Pinot from Flower's Estate Seaview Vineyard. Limited. 95 Points 'Cellar Selection' Wine Enthusiast: "The most notable thing about this Pinot is its intensity of flavor. A blend of both new Dijon clones and older California selections of Pinot Noir, it is stunning with flavors of raspberries, cherries and Dr. Pepper. It’s a balanced, elegant wine with vibrant texture , but needs time to truly shine. Hold till at least 2017."

Wednesday Wine Committee. Great hosting by Gavin. 1 sparkler, 4 whites, 4 reds and 2 dessert wines. All served blind as usual. Floral and pretty. Slight crunchiness/stemmy notes on the nose to suggest a possible use of whole cluster, but I don’t think it was much. Cranberry, violets, potpourri and sage round out the palate. I called this Sonoma pinot.

We had the 2016 Vintage on 6/23-24/22. This is a real good Sonoma PN. There were tastes of red current, pomegranate and cranberry. There is a brambly minerality as well. Over the last 18 mo., the tannins smoothed out nicely. A nice mouth feel and finish.

A far cry from the fruit bombs that have overtaken Sonoma coast Pinot making. The wine displays both restraint and finesse in the mingling of cranberries cherries and cloves.

We had the 2016 Vintage on 1/27-28/21. Smoother on the second night. Bouquet of red fruit and cinnamon. On the palate there are tastes black cherry, raspberry and lavender. Smooth mouth feel and a smooth finish. Very good.
