Elyse Holbrook Mitchell Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon 2019

Awesome new release from one of our favorite small Napa wineriesand new winemaker Russell Bevan. From a top vineyard in Yountville.  With Cabernet fruit spanning three Napa appellations and four vineyards, including our own home estate, comes our second bottling of this wine.  A medium bodied dry wine with gorgeous notes of rich black cherry, cola and savory roasted sage sprig.  A concentrated mouthfeel gives way to firm, yet elegant tannins that linger. The Holbrook Mitchell Vineyard is situated in the western hills of Yountville, an AVA since 1999. This site has been continually farmed since 1878 as orchards, dairy, and finally vineyard. The mature vines struggle in shallow soil to yield low quantities of expressive grapes.
