An amazing Pinot Noir from Cabernet country! previous vintage 94 Points Wine Spectator: "The El Molino Pinot Noir Rutherford sports some serious perfume, with red and black tea, savory and sassafras hints leading off, quickly followed by a racy set of damson plum, raspberry and red currant coulis flavors that extend through the lengthy, mineral-accented finish. There are savory sparkles throughout in the background, and the energy here is coiled and vibrant. Best from 2023 through 2032. 790 cases made." The El Molino 2019 Pinot Noir shows complex notes of red cherries, black plum and pomegranate. Secondary aromatics of dried earth, rose petal, rhubarb and white tea add depth and allure. The entry is powerful and dense leading to a broad sinewy mid-palate with grip and texture. flavors of blag fig, raspberry and all-spice coat the palate. The finish is powerful and long. Reminiscent of the 2012, with a touch more structure and tannin, this is an intense rendering of our Pinot noir that will not dissapoint.
