A fantastic small-production Cabernet from the stellar 2013 vintage. Highly recommended. Founded by Bernard Ehlers in the 1880s, Ehlers Estate is now owned by the Leducq Foundation, established by Jean and Sylviane Leducq to support cardiovascular research. The estate farming is 100% organic. From the winery: "This is a full-bodied, heavyweight Cabernet Sauvignon from the loamy benchland soils of our estate vineyard. Big fat and silky smooth. Layered with blackberry, black raspberry, caramel and dark European chocolate, sporting a great structure and solid backbone."
