Fantastic new Chardonnay from Sonoma's famed Dutton Ranch! After working closely together as winemaker and grape grower since 1990, Steve Dutton and Dan Goldfield merged their talents to create Dutton-Goldfield Winery in 1998. Their mission is to produce vineyard-designated Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from their home in the western Russian River Valley. The wines express the unique qualities of fruit from hand-selected vineyards and the work of an appreciative winemaker, and this brand new release certainly showcases that. A blend of five chardonnay vineyards in the Russian River Valley. A classic Dutton Ranch Chard, with its crisp fruit, great structure and moderate alcohol. Lush pear and vivid citrus aromas lead in the nose, followed by fresh cream and toffee overtones. In the mouth, the candied lime and citrus elements shine through, supported by creamy caramel undertones and fresh acidity. This is a wine of balance, freshness and personality.
