New vintage has arrived - order now. Though still in it's youth, the Duckhorn 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley is a wonderfully aromatic and fragrant wine, with vibrant, lifted aromas of spearmint, blackcurrant, violets, graham cracker and loganberry. On the palate, blackberry and blueberry flavors mingle with cocoa and cola notes. Though the tannins impart a touch of youthful dryness, decanting reveals this wine’s classic Cabernet character, with a lovely structure, generous mouth-filling flavors and a long, satisfying finish.

The grand finally of the evening was the full bodied Cab with multiple layers of dark, dry earthy fruit soaked in tobacco chocolate and fine, well integrated tannins that create a sensational finish. Paired with bbq lamb chops marinated in olive oil infused with rosemary, Basel, black pepper, garlic and sea salt. Heavenly!
