Inaugural Sauvignon Blanc from Schrader Cellars Double Diamond label and winemaker THomas Rivers Brown. Don't miss while available! 93 Points James Suckling: "Brilliant fruit flavors and a nicely crisp texture make this immediately appealing. Lemons, limes, mangoes and pineapple on the nose, and vivid acidity carries the palate. This first release is full-bodied and well balanced. Drink now." The inaugural release of the 2022 Sauvignon Blanc showcases, yet again, the mark of excellence from winemaker Thomas Rivers Brown. The nose is fresh and inviting with notes of green apple, melon, white peach, and citrus zest enveloped by delicate hints of fresh leafy herbs, such as Thai basil and mint. The palate mirrors this freshness and is balanced with notes of pithy stone fruit and grapefruit. Its structure shows length and layers, roundness and raciness, leaving you with a lingering saline finish.

Medium bodied but surprisingly complex and acid driven. Nose that’s a combo of minerality and acidity, with hints of jasmine, peach, some lychee and some vegetal hints, the color is a blend of pale green and pale yellow, light colored though. The palate is deep, long and lingering, with a complex acidic blend of florals and dry white fruits, with hints of loquat, lychee, white peach, wet limestone, grassy notes, green mango and a hint of nectarine, with a zippy little effervescence at the finish. Double Diamond is still a great value.
