Donum Russian River Reserve Estate Grown Pinot Noir 2013

$89.99

94 Points - limited                      Limited new release from one of California's hottest Pinot producers! Anne Moller Racke planned and planted Donum's Russian River vineyard in the mid-1990s and has farmed the property ever since.  The Donum 2010 Estate Pinot Noir Carneros is always a best barrel selection from the less vigorous blocks which consistently show something special. 94 Points Robert Parker:  "Alcohol-wise, Donum’s Pinot Noir Estate Reserve is one of their bigger efforts coming in at 14.7%. However, the alcohol does not show whatsoever. This dark ruby/plum-hued Pinot reveals great finesse along with beautiful floral notes intermixed with blueberry, boysenberry and cherry fruit, and no noticeable oak, heat or alcohol. This medium to full-bodied, beautifully textured Pinot Noir comes across like a premier cru from Chambolle-Musigny. Enjoy it over the next 7-8 years."

Love the entire crew at Donum, great people-Big nose explodes with tight crushed black fruit with a brushy cedar oak taste. Gripping tannins that give it a long finish. Great all around!
