New release - 92 pts One of our favorite reds from the South of France, always sells out early. Highly recommended. 92 Points Robert Parker: "An impressive barrel sample, the 2014 Bandol Cuvee Classique shows surprising depth and concentration in the vintage. Notes of dark fruits, mineral and peppery, Provencal herbs all emerge from this medium to full-bodied, beautifully pure, elegant 2014 that should drink reasonably well on release."

2014 - Vintage Domaine Tempier “La Tourtine” 80%-Mourvedre 10%-Grenache 10%-Cinsault ( no Carignan in this wine) red rim mediums red color, a lot of other than fruit aromas earth, mushroom, sage, undergrowth, black fruit beautifully presented with medium tannins softening nicely. This is out of a magnum ( good time to start drinking but definitely some time left) they have different names on the label signifying different blends this is the La Tourtine but they also have “La Migoua” and just a Bandol with no designation label says 11%-14% ( I bet on the 14%)

2014 drunk in mid-2024. Tannins softening nicely. Plenty of life left in this. Alcohol hit hard, but didn’t taste unbalanced.

Black cherry, roses, violets, dried herbs, blood. A delicious, savory wine. Good balance, some hard edges and a taste memory of the south of France. Very good.

Still a monster big tannins beautifully big but at the same time delicate and complex -can’t wait for 3 more years for it to come to a new place

Solid wine...especially at $40 retail. It really opens up with a 2 hour decant.

2014 drunk in 2021. Great mix of dark and light; deep fruit with dust and tannin.

Garrigue, black fruit, spice. Love it! I was expecting bigger but I was pleasantly surprised by the restraint.

Dark ink color. Noticeable dark fruit and a firm and gripping structure.

Still quite locked up, tannic and reductive/funky. But good things to come years from now, I suspect.
