Dom Pérignon Brut Champagne Blend 2004

$199

Dom Perignon is of the highest-rated and best Champagnes anywhere. Forget Cristal and the others, this is the one to buy while it's still available! Very Limited 96 Points Robert Parker: "The Dom Perignon is at first intensely floral, with perfumed jasmine that dominates the bouquet. With time in the glass the wine gains richness as the flavors turn decidedly riper and almost tropical. Apricots, passion fruit and peaches emerge from this flashy, opulent Dom Perignon. The wine’s volume makes it approachable today, but readers in search of more complexity will want to cellar this for at least a few years to allow for some of the baby fat to drop off. Geoffroy describes the vintage as very ripe and adds that some of the Chardonnay showed the ill-effects of the hot growing season in the somewhat burned, dehydrated fruit that came in that year. Anticipated maturity: 2012-2032."The Dom Perignon 2005 Brut Champagne is the latest release from this venerable Champagne house and can easily be aged 20+ years, if you can wait that long.Is this a gift? You can choose a gift card message of your choice during checkout and the wine will be wrapped in tissue paper and accompanied by tasting notes.

Great juice. Unfortunately no notes but this was young and vibrant, with a creamy mousse.

Light straw gold. Attention grabbing nose. Notes of bright citrus fruits, wet stones, some coriander and a little bread yeast. Nice energy and sneaky power in the mouth. Still young and can gain more complexity with more age.

The 2004 Dom Perignon Champagne is sinfully good at fifteen years of age. Showing off its downright sexy golden hue, the wine evolves quickly once in the glass displaying a dazzling array of aromatics, from orchard fruits to peat moss and toasty brioche as well as shades of salted Marcona almond that all nicely meld together. The palate yields a wonderful combination of richness and tension. There is a lovely ripe, almost unctuous texture to this aged Champagne. Flavors of salted macadamia nut, ripe pear, kumquat zest and shades of Shiitake mushroom with lighter biscuit undertones all combine brilliantly. This is a satisfying, downright hedonistic champagne that will be extremely long-lived. Drink 2019-2040- 97

Very elegant, more mineral-driven and nutty than the other champagnes of the evening. Almond, pear, brioche, dried apricot. Creamy texture with great acidity and a long finish.

Iced down and too cool upon popping the cork. A briney, smoky, creamy citrus florality weighted lightly with airport tarmac - rubber and diesel. Compellingly faceted - a perfect bubbly for this October beach dinner.
