Darioush Darius II Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2015

$349.99

Rare                                                                Rare! The Darioush 2015 Darius II Cabernet Sauvignon is Darioush's most exclusive release. Ripe, lush and profoundly concentrated, yet epitomizing the stylistic profile that's signature Darioush. Winery Notes: "2015 Darius II Cabernet Sauvignon echoes the remarkable seamlessness of its predecessors while expressing the vibrancy and generous fruit characteristic of the 2015 vintage. The wines predominantly hillside provenance is revealed in layers of blackberry liqueur, licorice and espresso, with savory, energetic notes of Darjeeling tea and dried orange peel adding further complexity. The soft, ripe and well-integrated tannins add plushness and texture; Darius II finishes long and persistent with notes of incense, sweet oak, and dried herbs. 93 Points Robert Parker: "Medium to deep garnet-purple in color, the 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Darius II has a black forest cake and crème de cassis-scented nose with notions of grilled bread, sautéed herbs, cardamom and cedar chest. Medium to full-bodied, there’s a lot to love in the mouth, with bags of baked berries and savory flavors on offer, though there is just a slight hardness to the tannins in the mid-palate and finish."

One of my favorite Napa Cab filled with vibrant flavors, dark fruits and hints of coffee with refined tannins. A must if you can find it.
