This is a stunner and compelling, a powerful, classic Cabernet Sauvignon with an opaque purple color and notes of incense, graphite, crème de cassis and blackberry. It is long and rich, with an extra dimension compared to the 2014 version. This wine is accessible now, but should be even better after 3-4 years of cellaring and last 25 or more years....This was a good opportunity to contrast the difference between 2013 and 2014. As the following notes attest, 2014s are soft, luscious and delicious, but there is just that extra gear and dimension to the 2013s, but also more structure.
