Daou Vineyards Reserve Paso Robles Cabernet Sauvignon 2014

$54.99

94 points - new discovery                      Daou is making some of the best Cabernets in Paso Robles today. Highly recommended. 94 Points Robert Parker: "Another beauty is the 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve, and it has impressive purity and freshness in its notes of plums, violets, currant bud and sappy herbs. Slightly softer and more approachable than its 2014 counterpart, with less obvious tannin, it's a rich, sexy Cabernet that should drink nicely on release, yet keep for over a decade."

Not a fan of this at all. Very fruity like a Pinot. Just not for my palate.

Beautifully smooth Cab win bites of cherry. Wish I could buy this but guess it's sold out.

Superb. Won a 3-way blind tasting of big wines I sampled. Lovely bramble, crushed flowers, wood, and earth. Had a bouquet which fooled me into thinking it was a Super Tuscan, however I should have picked up on the lack of dust on the nose, pointing to the US. Anyway, worth your time and paired excellently with a ribeye and bone marrow plate. Yum!
