97 Points Parker - limited Limited new release from Dancing Hares of their flagship red. 97 Points Robert Parker: "A barrel sample blended from Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot, the very deep purple-black colored 2016 Dancing Hares Proprietary Red offers up black currant cordial, warm plums, black berry preserves and chocolate box notes with wafts of red fruit, dusty earth and herbs. Very firm in the medium to full-bodied mouth with very fine tannins, it's very pure and pretty, finishing long and lively. 350 cases were made." 97 Points Jeb Dunnuck: "These wines are made by Tuck Beckstoffer, who is the son of the famous viticulturist and vineyard owner in Napa, Andy Beckstoffer. Starting with the 2016 Red Blend Dancing Hares, it's made from 95% Cabernet Sauvignon, 4.5% Petit Verdot, and 0.5% Merlot. It offers a rich, flamboyant style in its black cherry, blueberry, spice box, dried earth, and chocolate-laced aromas and flavors. Rich, flamboyant, concentrated, and layered, it has a rock star level of mid-palate depth, building tannins, and one serious finish. This is pure Napa Valley goodness to drink over the coming 20 years or more."

On Christmas-Eve our 3rd and final wine was the 2016 Dancing Hares Vineyard Red Blend from Napa Valley. The blend of this wine is 95% Cabernet Sauvignon, 4% Petit Verdot and 1% Merlot. The nose gives wonderful notes of black cherry, black raspberry, black currant, a herbaceousness, chocolate and earth. On the palate there are notes of black cherry, black raspberry, black currant, plum, mocha, green bell pepper, spice and a nice earth component. This is a full bodied wine with a fresh velvety mouthfeel, medium + acidity and medium + sandy tannins that coat your mouth that leads into a long black fruit earthy finish. What an ending to a wonderful evening. All three wines did not disappoint. Have a great rest of your holidays, enjoy family and friends and stay safe. Nostrovia!

Really nice wine, drinking very nice now with at least 30 min decant. Lots of dark fruit, blueberries, nice long finish. Tannins soft and well integrated. Really enjoyed it.

The only problem with this wine is it that I will never know what it tastes like with 10+ years of age on it. No way I have the will power to not drink the rest in the next couple years!
