Cathy Corison makes one of our favorite "true" Napa Cabernets from great benchland vineyards between Rutherford and St. Helena. If you haven't tried her Corison Cabs yet do yourself a favor and discover them now. 97 Points Wine Enthusiast *Cellar Selection*: "This understated, elegant study in the variety opens in beguiling aromas of floral rose before opening into a finely made, structured and gracefully constructed wine that's fully in balance. Leather, black cherry and dark chocolate highlight a midpalate of finely polished, tamed tannin and integrated oak."

Solid Napa cab, with violet nose. Graphite, currant, black cherry, espresso, and blackberry, remarkable, chewy tannins, and structure. Details lacking as it was the last wine and accompanied cherry pie. But made a great impression. . . . #cab #CabernetSauvignon #napa #napavalley #napacab #corison #corisonnapa

Double decant and corked at 6:30 am then started drinking at 4:30 pm. Whoa. I’m shocked at how accessible this was - especially in comparison to the Bevan. LOVE this wine and can’t wait to see what the future holds!

Very enjoyable. Lots of red, blue and slightly dark fruits, followed by lavender, toasted oak and cigar box (that is very well integrated) and a notable amount of Bordeaux-like graphite. Intensity is med (+) on the nose and palate, medium bodied with a slightly inky weight, and only medium alcohol (impressive). The finish is long and complex. .
