Coho Michael Black Vineyard Merlot 2013

$49.95

A beautiful new Napa Valley Merlot from one of our favorite small producers. Get this small-production gem while our allocations lasts. Coho Winery is the shared aspiration of Brooks Painter and Gary Lipp to produce flavorful, balanced wines. The Coho 2010 Michael Black Vineyard Merlot offers up rich cassis, dusty berry and black cherry aromas, with warm and exotic floral scents of dried rose petals and hibiscus flowers. Enticing cedary-spice notes with vanillin and hints of black olive lead to a very concentrated, black cherry and berry flavor in the mouth. The supple tannins and complex layers of richness unwind slowly as ripe, black fruit flavors burst across the palate. The textural impression is very sensual and succulent, and the intensity builds in a powerful finish of fruit purity and mineral nuances.  Highly Recommended.

A wonderful new discovery tonight. My right bank sensibilities were well served. Cherry, black fruit. Coombsville fruit is speaking to me.

An off-Broadway show trying to get to Broadway. Not happening...regardless of the ticket price.

Babbalooey is just pissed that he ain't getting any of this shizz. He's a big Merlot fan. Coho does Merlot nicely. Dark fruits, some acid, holds the mouth.
