Fantastic new release of Cliff Lede's exclusive Poetry Cabernet. Very Limited. 98 Points Robert Parker: "The 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Poetry (89% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Merlot and the rest Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot) is indeed worthy of its name. Bottled perfection, it is an extraordinary Cabernet Sauvignon offering floral, blackcurrant, boysenberry and hints of oak, forest floor and graphite notes, a full-bodied mouthfeel, and an exuberance, freshness and delineation that are remarkable. This amazing effort is the quintessential Stags Leap Cabernet Sauvignon that is Napa Valley’s version of Château Margaux. The finish just won’t quit. Kudos to proprietor Cliff Lede. This cuvée needs 3-4 years of aging, and should keep for 20-25......One of the best-run wineries in Napa Valley, Cliff Lede Vineyards has surged into the top hierarchy of quality in a relatively short period of time. It is located on the Yountville Crossroads, directly across from another budding superstar, the Kapcsandy Family Winery."

2012 Poetry is composed of 89% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Merlot, 2% Cabernet Franc, and 2% Petit Verdot. Sourced from our estate Poetry Vineyard in the Stags Leap District of Napa Valley, the grapes were hand-picked in the cool darkness of night, then subjected to a three-tiered sorting process, including an optical sorter. After extended maceration of up to six weeks, the wine was aged for 18 months in new French oak. 762 cases were made.

Opened this up once we found out everyone was safe from the storm. It is wonderful now and shows it will be even better in the years to come. Thoughts and prayers go out to all the were effected by the Hurricane Matthew and to all of those who lost love ones especially those in Haiti.
