Perhaps the world's most sough-after wine. Each vintage is near perfection. This is a 375ml bottle. **Pre-order now for delivery in April 2017** 100 points Robert Parker: "Served from an ex-chateau bottle. The 2009 Chateau d’Yquem is one showstopper of a wine and perhaps it is only in a vertical that you realize this is up there among the legendary wines of the past – the 2001 included. It has a wonderful nose that expresses the Semillon component majestically: heady aromas of lemon curd, nectarine, jasmine and honeysuckle that all gain momentum in the glass. The oak is supremely well-integrated. The palate is extremely well-balanced with an unctuous entry. You are immediately knocked sideways by the palpable weight and volume in the mouth, which is almost “bulbous,” with layer upon layer of heavily botrytized fruit. It builds to a spicy finish with hints of marzipan and pralines in the background that lend it an untrammeled sense of exoticism. The 2009 is utterly fabulous and decadent, a star that will blaze brightly and undimmed for many years. Drink now-2060+. .

An absolutely stunning lunch from @joe leatherwood today. 1 sparkler, 2 whites, 5 reds and 1 dessert wine. All served blind. Young, but a real joy to see how impressive this is currently and to imagine how much of a monster it will be in 20yrs. Intoxicating nose that oozes of honey roasted cashews, orange marmalade, and honey coated mango. Very dense and rich in the middle right now, but it has the classic minute long finish already. I waffled between this being either ‘01 Rieussec or mid-‘00s D’yquem.

Another stunner from #NYWE14 this is the definition of #liquidcrack. One of the most famous and sought after wines in the sweet and regular wine world. It's not just sweet, it's fresh, polished, light on its feet and packs a finish that lasts for several minutes . d'Yquem has no equal.

2009 Ch d'Yquem. These are just stunning wines. Turning sauv bl and semm (botrytised albeit) into these jewels is something to marvel at. '09 has an interesting nose of still some sauv bl grapefruit but then caramel and deep trop fruits. 4.2 acid.
