New Conundrum Red from the folks at Caymus now available! Winery Notes: Twenty-five years ago, we introduced Conundrum as an exotic, enticing white blend--now Conundrum Red continues this tradition, bending the rules in its own unique way. Serious yet down-to-earth, this wine knows no boundaries. Pair it with everything from pizza to tandoori to fajitas to BBQ. Its structure, richness and complexity make it great any time of the year--be bold and serve it chilled. This dark red wine opens with the aromas of plums and rich berries, its earthiness overlaid with the subtle richness of cocoa. On the palate are concentrated flavors of dried, dark fruit, lush chocolate-covered cherries and a smokiness that makes this wine the perfect complement to many dishes. Sturdy tannins are rounded out by the ripeness of the berries for a texturous but smooth feel. The finish is long and serious, with a toasted quality of oak and layers of rich flavor that slowly trail off, enticing you back for another sip.

Smooth and velvety! Just excellent. Update 2nd night - last time I had this was about 3 years ago and it was the 2013. I gave it a good rating then too. I’m really enjoying this one!

Sipping Fine Wine
Deep Ruby with rich Berry aromas, blend of Petite Sirah, Zinfandel and Cabernet Sauvignon. On the palate cherry, plum and raspberry flavors with cacao and toasty oak. The finish is medium with fine tannins ending with dried spice and ripe fruit character. Nice value!

This is always enjoyable. Easy drinking and a bit on the sweeter side. Showing black fruits with wood, vanilla, chocolates, tobacco, mocha, coke, spices and peppercorn. Full bodied and bold with long finish. This red blend from the Wagner family is nice to sip on by the lake. 14.6% alcohol by volume. 88 points.
