95 points A fantastic new Chiantico Classico from one of Italy's best producers, and an amazing buy for the price. Limited. 95 Points James Suckling: "Tight and super silky with a gorgeous density and precision that gives great polish to the tannins. Makes them almost dusty. Lots of subtle dark berry, mineral and spice. Drink or hold." 94 Points Wine Spectator: "There’s purity to the cherry, strawberry, floral and spice aromas and flavors in this red, which is firmly structured yet elegant and graceful, with sweet fruit matching the dusty tannins on the lingering finish. Best from 2018 through 2028." (Oct. 2016)

This bottle is drinking nicely. Morello cherry, tart plum, tomato leaf, dried herbs. Tart, savory with a touch of salinity and iron. Tannins are soft but still present and I like the acidity that balances out the wine. Very nice

Sangiovese with a left bank vibe, dry and cedary, but nuanced and pure. Needs 2-3 more years in bottle, this will improve.
