Aged 22 months in 54% new French oak, the wine has a dense, blackish/blue color, a beautiful nose of graphite, blackberry, blueberry, a touch of charcoal embers and spice. It’s youthful, restrained and holding back somewhat. Nevertheless, this is a super-impressive wine that will age effortlessly for 25-30 years. In fact, I don’t think it’s going to hit its peak for another 5-7 years. This is a beauty."

Can't believe the nose on this one - I could breathe it in for hours. What a treat! Easily one of the best Cabs I've ever had, this Cakebread is simply a pleasure to drink. My boyfriend and I drank it on our anniversary and it was 100% worth the splurge.

The belle of the ball! Light, yet complex. Has nice dark fruit up front (blackberries, boysenberries) with a smoky and oaky in the end and a silky mouthfeel. Soft, chewy tannins and a long finish.
