Cakebread Cellars Benchland Select Cabernet Sauvignon 2011

$119

New release of Cakebread's rare and coveted Benchland Select Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon - limited. 95+ Points Robert Parker:  "The Cabernet Sauvignon Benchland Select offers abundant blueberry and black currant fruit intermixed with notions of spring flowers. Deep, rich and full-bodied, it comes across like a great classic Napa Cabernet. Nothing is out of place and the wine has a certain accessibility, but it will not hit its prime for another 5-7 years, and should last for two to three decades, possibly longer."

V11. Very nice. Crushed black cherries and soft cedar nose. Juicy black currant and black berry fruit. Soft, tight, slightly chewy leather and black pepper finish.

Classic Napa can that I love best. Amazing fruit, classic plum and dark berry, not overpowering, good tannin and still a tad hot. Great with a filet for my wife’s 40th birthday at Village Pub in Woodside, CA.
