Limited release zin Extremely limited single-vineyard Zinfandel from Brown Estate. Only 700 cases produced. Mickey’s Block Zinfandel is named for our Mom’s brother, our Uncle Mickey, whose home in Sacramento served as Mom’s first “Airbnb” when she fled the frigid climes of Michigan post-college to study healthcare administration in California. Situated toward the west side of our property and almost entirely unsheltered, this vineyard is subject to some of the most intense rainfall we see on our property. Consequently, Mickey’s crop is generally the lightest, which means accelerated ripening and higher sugar content—which in turn yields its hallmark blackberry, blueberry, and black cherry characteristics. Tasting Notes: "Magenta core and scarlet rim dazzle with gemstone clarity. A swirl of the glass reveals sundrenched blueberries and blackberries laced with fragrant lilac and subtle, smoked sage. Delve deeper to encounter early morning aromas of espresso, cocoa nib, and boysenberry syrup on pancakes topped with Chantilly, shadowed by winter spice. Mouthfeel is deep, rich, enveloping, and loaded with glycerine, resulting in ultra silky texture. Medium+ body and super fine tannins guide you to a long, lingering finish. Drink now through 2022.

Good wine, but a bit too sweet for me. Would not buy again for the price.

Probably my favorite all-around wine to drink. Well balanced. Smells swampy, has a little spice at the end and nice round tang to it.
