More subdued than previous years ( in a good way). Raspberry, oak spice, cedar, dried herbs, caramel, twizzler and nice balance.

This is one of those vintages where everything just worked out just right.

I’m torn. I drank this at the vineyard and loved it, but after some development in the bottle I’m thinking it’s maybe meant to be drank younger. Tannins are not grippy, but there is good acidity all over. There’s more earth and black pepper on both nose and palate with some tree bark on the nose. There’s also a menthol element that somewhat dulls the fruit. It’s still good, just not as good as I remembered.

Sweet, supple red fruits make this an easy drinking, enjoyable pinot. The fruit is complimented by deep earth tones. Nice for an appellation level wine.
