Belle Glos Dairyman Russian River Valley Pinot Noir 2016

$54.99

New release!  The Dairyman Vineyard Pinot Noir is the newest addition to the Belle Glos lineup.   The 2016 Belle Glos Dairyman Vineyard Pinot Noir, sourced from the southern alluvial plains of Russian River Valley, where the proximity to the Pacific Ocean creates cool morning fog and afternoon breezes resulting in an uncommonly long growing season. Once an old dairy farm and pastureland, this site has since realized its true potential as a prime Pinot Noir vineyard.  Tasting Notes:  The color is quite striking, with the brilliant red ruby hue hinting at the luscious fruit to come. The aromas are abundant with bright cherry, cranberry and brown spice, reminiscent of warm cinnamon toast topped with plum jam. On the palate, the bright cherry opens the show, then evolves into a lush, sweetly spiced plum pudding, coating the mouth with a velvety richness. The acidity is as vibrant as the color, lifting the medley of fruit to lavish heights and augmenting the spicy tones. The wine then develops an intense mineral note, adding yet another dimension, lending way to silky tannins and a lengthy finish that will leave you wanting more.

Fruit. So much fruit. A bit of sweetness on the finish. I love this house. Unfortunately it came second on the day.

Dairyman Vineyard sits in the southern alluvial plains of the Russian River Valley near the ocean, a region where cooling fog comes in through the Petaluma Gap in the morning and once again in the evening. Bright Ruby with aromas of ripe berries and smoky spice notes. On the palate flavors of raspberry, black cherries and currents, herb, cedar and cacao. Smooth fine tannins, soft long finish with fresh acidity, great structure. Wow! A Fav!

Viva Belle Glos pinot noir vino tinto! This is Belle Glos pinot noir Dairyman form the Russian River Valley 2016. Some say it’s a Cab drinkers Pinot. I agree!!!! Very dark for pinot noir! Bouquet of Hot cherry pie and applesauce. The palate delivers blueberry, cherry, fig, and blast of chocolate! Then cones the oak and earth flavors. The finish is mildly spicy with a minimal dry ending. Yet the lingering sweet fruit on the afterthought is absolutely AMAZING. Big big Chocolate!!!!!! Wow. The flavors keep coming back around. Wow!!!! My favorite Pinot Noir Ever!!!!! Thank you Audra for the suggestion!
