Classic Belle Glos style - fruit forward and really smooth for a Pinot. Great to revisit, and good vintage.

Pinot on steroids. But not over extracted and it all works.

Winemaker Joseph J. Wagner is a 4th generation winemaker with winemaking roots in the Napa Valley since 1906. Met Joe several times. Deep Ruby with red berry fruit aromas, tar and sweet spice notes. The palate shows ripe raspberry and jammy cherry with sweet vanilla oak, cacao and pepper spice notes. Soft tannins and bright acidity, well balanced, with mineral tones on a long finish ending with toasty spice! Nice!

Unusually dark in color, but still hits all the classic notes of CA Pinot.

Here’s one that’s become fruitier and sweeter over years. A monodimensional fruity, sugary mess. Overpriced. 14.7% ABV

Very smooth, medium bodied California Pinot. Notes of cherry, light on the nose.

A Pinot that wants to be a Merlot. I still enjoyed it this one time. The alcohol is a whopping 14.7% but I didn’t get too much heat. Dark fruit. Full and smooth.
