Bedrock Wine Co. T'n'S Blocks Hudson Vineyard South Syrah 2011

$41.99

Bedrock Winery is producing some of the most exciting new releases we've tasted in California and the 2011 Kick Ranch Syrah is a great discovery - only 125 cases made94 Points Robert Parker:  "The 2011 Syrah Hudson T’N’s Hudson is wonderfully alive in the glass. Varietal notes of dark red fruits, smoke, tobacco, licorice, black pepper and savory herbs sit on a frame of pure, unbridled energy. This broad-shouldered, intense wine has tons of promise. Morgan Peterson reported that the clusters were quite loose in this vintage. There is a lot to look forward to here."Glass-staining purple. A full-blown, fruit-dominated bouquet displays blueberry, boysenberry and smoky Indian spices. Lush and creamy in texture, offering nearly liqueur-like black and blue fruit flavors framed by supple tannins. The spicy note returns on the finish, which is smooth, broad and impressively persistent. This will drink well young. No stems were used in making this wine.

Dark as night. Scintillating aromatics. Smoked bacon, black olives, blackberry compote, dark chocolate, loads of flowers. Moderate tannins. Light (fresh) on the palate, but still carrying a big sticks.

From magnum!!! Ripe and wild, yet with a restraint that's astonishing, as its tannins are true and its fruit bursting, but this also highlights cool elegance and enviable purity.

Very dark wine that was silky smooth with a long finish. Very enjoyable with cedar, licorice, and dark fruits. Excellent.

Meat, meat juice, more meat, charcuterie, olive brine, meat and meat and berries and meat. Wow this wine is epic, two hour decant and it needs it. I will hold the rest for a couple years to see where it goes. This is crazy good stuff!

Phenomenal wine! Loads of leather, coffee bean, cocoa. Some herbs de Provence. Great now, but will probably last for quite a long time.

Meaty charcuterie goodness, this tastes like liquid beef tartar in a bottle. Friggen' killer, could use a few more years in bottle to come fully around. Delicious.
