Beaux Frères Willamette Valley Pinot Noir 2022

$74.99

Limited new release from Beaux-Freres, one of Oregon's best wineries. Beaux Freres 2021 Willamette Valley cuvée is a complex blend of some of the very best vineyards in all of Oregon including: Star Mooring, Zena Crown, Sequitur, Gran Moraine, Jessie James and Beaux Freres.  95 Points Robert Parker: "Dynamic and expressive, with fragrant violet and raspberry aromas that highlight spirited guava, white pepper and spiced tea flavors, which build toward medium-grained tannins. Drink now through 2033." 94 Points Wine Spectator: "Sleek, graceful and elegantly proportioned, with expressive violet, raspberry, guava and black tea flavors that jump out of the glass and gather richness toward polished tannins. Drink now through 2032." 94 Points James Suckling: "Wild and vibrant nose of rosemary, cherry stones, small strawberries, violets and seaweed. So fresh, with a medium body and powdery tannins. I like the persistent fine, chalky texture. Unfined and unfiltered. Drink or hold." The Beaux Freres vineyards are located on an 86-acre farm in Yamhill County's Willamette Valley. Majestic Douglas fir trees comprise just under 50 acres of the farm, with the homestead and barns occupying another six acres. The vineyard is situated on 30 acres of steep contiguous hillsides that enjoy an exceptional south/southwest exposure. The property, purchased in 1987 by Michael Etzel and the noted wine critic Robert M. Parker, Jr., was named Beaux Freres (the brothers-in-law). A few years later Robert Roy, a Pinot Noir and red burgundy enthusiast from Quebec, became the third member of the Beaux Freres partnership.

This medium bodied Oregon Pinot displays a range of aromatic flavors and notes. In addition to raspberries there are underlying notes of mushroom and leather. Excellent pairing with aged Ribeye Steak and family.
