A fantastic Caberent from Spring Mountain. Limited.93 Points Robert Parker: "Deep, dense and rich, the 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon Spring Mountain oozes with character and sheer personality. Black fruit, tobacco, incense and crushed rocks are some of the many nuances that unfold as the wine sits in the glass. Tar, asphalt and licorice are layered into the sinewy, powerful finish. The 2010 is a fascinating and totally intriguing Cabernet. The blend is 89% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% Cabernet Franc and 3% Petit Verdot. Anticipated maturity: 2014-2024."

Dark purple color. Nose is not as perfumed as the Cyrus Ryan or Rattlesnake but nicely fragrant with notes of currants and menthol. While 12 years on, it is quite balanced for a Spring Mountain wine.

I love the Barnett stuff but this one has a ways to go. Still young, not ready.
