94 points                                                                Arista is one of California's leading Pinot Noir producers under the helm of winemaker Matt Courtney (Ferren), Limited. 94 Points Jeb Dunnuck: "Moving to the reds, the Arista 2017 Pinot Noir Russian River Valley was all destemmed (as are all the Pinot Noirs here) and was brought up 11 months in just 20% new French oak. Its ruby/plum and translucent hue is followed by a savory nose of mulled black cherry and currant fruits interwoven with lots of spice, forest floor, earth, and bouquet garni. Textured and medium-bodied, with good acidity and great balance, I suspect it's going to benefit from a year or two of bottle age and should have a decade or more of overall longevity." Arista Winery was founded by the McWilliams family in 2002 with a mission to create the most elegant expression of Russian River Valley Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. We are committed to sustainable farming practices and sustainable business practices. We work closely with local growers who share our dedication to sustainability in their vineyards. We do not attempt to manipulate our vineyard sites but instead strive to preserve each vineyard’s natural qualities.

Just cant resist these as they are so delicious when young and you’re waiting for the SVs to develop. Packed with ripe delicious Russian River fruit and balanced by great supporting structure. Some tea and spice notes linger in the background and would develop more if I could keep my hands off.
